Jason McDougall Fields, now the CEO of Fields, Inc., has been a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) since 1992, only five years after the organization was founded by a few young entrepreneurs to be a forum of thought and advice for young entrepreneurs everywhere. Navigating the ins and outs of any business or market can be difficult for someone with many years of experience, much less a business leader fresh out of school. The EO was founded to be a resource for those just breaking into the business scene around the world. Today, the organization has over 11,000 members worldwide.
Jason McDougall, long before he was the CEO of Fields, Inc., founded a few of his own discount department stores in and around Vancouver, BC. He founded his first business, Bargain Castle, with $350 dollars at the age of 18. He had the business sense of an experienced business leader, but he needed help, too. That’s where the EO came in. With its many trainings and events in the area, Jason McDougall was able to hone his skills with the EO before he became the CEO of Fields. At an early stage in his career, the EO gave McDougall a place of belonging and a community to bond with, as well as a forum for understanding and a source of confidence to do what he needed to do to be successful.
Jason McDougall Fields earned the top spot at Fields by working hard to produce successful businesses and growing as a professional and a person.
